It has been an exciting start to the year for our fourth-grade students and they are enthusiastically advancing their learning.
We started our year in Social Studies by enhancing our map skills by studying longitude, latitude, the compass rose, the time zones, and so much more. We will be moving on to learning about the different regions of our country, including their economy, geography, civics, and history.
In Science, we have been digging into our study of Rocks, Soil, and Landforms. We will begin with studying soil composition and move on to both physical and chemical weathering. We will then delve into erosion, deposition, and maybe find a fossil or two.
In Math, we started the year learning about place value and are now moving on to multiplication and then on to division.
Additionally, we are working on boosting our reading and writing skills through the Workshop approach.
We look forward to an amazing year!
